Marathon preparation... did 16miler+ later in day 10mile Raven Run at beginning of month.  Completed 21 miler and will do final big 26 miler around new years.  No heavy leg lifts till after Marathon.  Running marathon with Flasher and doing the 2009 ING  HD video of her efforts in the Race

Bought a new HD Mini Camcorder for Hi Definition Videos!  Marathon will be first HD video.

Creve ran 814 miles & weight fluctuated from 155.2-171.6 in 2008

November 2008 Update:

Creve's 4th successful Raven Recruit, from Turkey: The Turkish Delight (Hande)

After 8 miles in the SoBe Sand.  The next day her sister, Gizmo (Gizem) became Creve's 5th successful Raven Recruit.

Creve about to have Post Workout meal after heavy squats at the gym. Likely the last jog at CCL next to dripping Springs where lovelorn Indian princess plummeted to her tragic death.

October 2008 Update:

Riding on the Raven's coattails, Creve had his first photo in Unrestricted Sports Magazine as a RavenRegular (Abbreviated Article).  Taken after a hot, sweaty run and with a directed hand on hip cheesy pose (although the close your mouth & stare at the life guard stand was likely a good tip)

CreveCoeurLake - Creve's vertical leap has improved so much he nearly popped a knee cap on his 2nd to last STL work trip of year, but will also be on vacation over Thanksgiving week.  Creve recruited the Bar Maid (Perniella) from Switzerland, for the Raven Run.

September 2008 Update:

  Visited Matthew, Creve's newest relative after 23 hours labor for sister, in Virginia. 

Creve, LuLuLemon & Coach Raw Man (He is Creve's Nutritional opposite: Avoids Protein & Fats - Strict low calorie Raw carb Diet last 38 years) Creve does not recommend avoiding Protein or healthy Fats- In fact of the 4 types, carbs & alcohol are unnecessary (But carbs will improve your athletic performance - most Americans just don't earn carbs through effort)

August 2008 Update:

Normally just re-read same group books every 10 years or so, but taking on some deeper exploration of interesting ideas: The Religion War 

Just this month started a new "trick/tactic" to burn a little more fat with low intensity cardio (ie 8-12 mile slow Raven Runs) - Creve eats 2 oz Salty Pecans 425 calories [instead of carbs or protein] before 1 1/2-2 hour steady state cardio with fills the Blood with 45 grams slow burning fats and seems to increase the body fat burned.  No problems digesting and stable energy throughout.  Good so far.

June 2008 Update: Lots of SoBe Thunderstorms and not much to report.  Biggest news is Cycled off Creatine for couple months and weight seems to have dropped about 8lbs :(  and strength decreased.

Passing through DC a spectacular rainbow appeared on the runway.

Creve was in the lead for the Raven Run Treasure hunter award with a measly $1 bill, but has now secured that with 2x$5 bills during a Memorial Day Raven Run #177.

 

April 2008 Update: Creve's behind in April; a lot of traveling to the UK but was too tired for any pics and almost have the 'new' Dell m1330 laptop working right.  Gave up on installing XP on it and just trying to get Vista working right (still have some program hogging up all the cpu resources, damn Vista- hopefully service pack1 will help out)  Once it gets working will be able to produce some more videos

No more races till fall and I believe Creve's pregnant Sister is moving from Key West in a month, may do a trip down there to visit one last time (seeing as she never has anytime to visit her brother in Miami Beach)

Reduced the running mileage ~10miles and doing way more peppy walking (CreveCoeur Pace) probably 35+miles per week Airport, SoBe Road & Sand.  April was a lacking month for any pictures, in fact Creve only took 1 picture all month:

February 2008 Leap Year Update:- Running aches are pretty bad after marathon and Creve is going to focus on gaining some lean mass next couple months with strength training.  Just this last month Creve's biciptal tendonitis has healed up!  Creve's started bench pressing again-unable since April 2007, but injury was for the best, as it forced Creve to focus on Dead Lifts & Squats.

Creve has discovered that the shins aches/problems really only happen when he runs on pavement!  So will try to stick to the sand and walk back from Raven Runs, except for Pt Tests, the occasional 5k or yearly Miami Marathon those will have to be pavement.  Creve's sister is Pregnant.

January 2008 Update: Tropical 5K Sat then ING Miami Marathon Sunday

 

Busy month for Creve with the approaching ING Miami Marathon and international trips.  Running has not been going well with the shin discomfort.  Mileage has been way to low and shins always hurt.  Strength training has been going well and Creve is fairly happy with lower body & back gains - look for a Max 2.5BW Deadlift Video in February (Editor: Now April) being cautious on max lift with Marathon looming.  Creve's sister is thinking of moving from Key West to Virginia and the parents are visiting Florida with the cats.  Creve walked the 5K the day before the Marathon with Mom & Flash (only 5K participant in sandals & Backpack)
